PART ITHE CHANGE OF PLASMA MCP-1 IN TYPE 2 DIABETIC PATIENTS WITH MACROVASCULAR DISEASEABSTRACTobjective: To investigate the change of plasma MCP-1 in type 2 diabetic patients with macrovascular disease. Methods: 86 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were chosen and divided into 2 groups: DM+MV group (40cases) and DM group (46cases). Inaddition, 40 healthy persons were chosen as control group. The level of plasma MCP-1 was measured by sandwich ELISA method. The level of MCP-1 in DM+MV group was compared with that in DM group and control group. Results: Compared with that in control group, the level of MCP-1 was significantly increased in DM+MV group and the level of MCP-1 in DM+MV group was higher than that in DM group. Compared with those in control group, the levels of AngII,SBP, DBP, TC, LDL-C, HbA1C, FBG were significantly increased in DM+MV and DM group. The level of MCP-1 in DM+MV group was significantly correlated with the levels of Angll > SBP^ FBG^ HbA1C, LDL-C. Conclusion: The level of MCP-1 was significantly increased in DM+MV group and was affected by the changes of AngII, LDL-C, SBP, FBG, HbA,C.
