Clinical Observation Of Acupoint Catgut Embedding On Simple Obesity Patients

Object: The article was to observe the clinical efficacy of catgut embedding at acupoint onSimple Obesity Patients.Method: 60 cases were divided into two groups randomly. One group was treated with Catgut Embedding at acupoint. The other was treated with TCM prescriptions. Catgut Embedding at acupoint was given 60 days and change another line every 10 days. TCM prescriptions was given 60 days as well. At the end of study measure the body weight, waistline , hip circumference, BMI and F%etc.Results: It was found that the total scores in both two groups have a great different after treatment (P<0. 05).The body weight, waistline , hip circumference, BMI and F%decreased obviously. While the total effective rates of Catgut Embedding groups was 74%and TCM groups was 64%. The former increased obviously than the latter. Thera are significant difference about redece fat in marked effect cases between TCM group and Catgut Embedding at acupoint groups . the same as themarked effect case for reduce weight The body weighr and BMI decreased remarkable in both two groups . However, the fall of body weight on Catgut Embedding groups seems no more different than the TCM groups but the BMI between two groups different significantly. The F%also decline both groups aftger treatment and the Catgut Embedding groups gots farther fall than TCM groups. waistline, hip circumference reduced after treament but have significant different between two groupsConclusion: Both The catgut embedding at Acupoint and TCM prescriptions and accompany keep on diet as well have the effect of control the body weight and reduce fat. While the catgut embedding at acupoint was superior in control the body weight, TCM prescriptions were inclined to reduce fat . TCM prescriptions groups sames have no more effecive for reduce The catgut embedding at acupoint have more trend to reduced waistline and hip circumference.
