| In this study, In order to describe and explain the function, feature and connotation of Fan Yao's music as possible as objective, from double views of culture carriers and researchers, we have a further research on phenomenon of Fan Yao people's music culture and their music concept, using music culture of Fan Yao people as the object of study, based on the ethnomusicology theory and method, according to the characterization between the survey and "me" and using Fan Yao people's music activity as investigation point.This paper consists of five chapters:Chapter one is Fan Yao people and their residence; Chapter two is Classification and art feature of Fan Yao people's music;Chapter three is heritage of Fan Yao's music; Chapter four is Fan Yao's music view——the dualistic structure view of Yin and Yang;Chapter five is the comparison research between Fan Yao's music and peripheral national music.In this study, research on music culture of Fan Yao is to describe and explain the music application in Fan Yao people's lives and show unique music theory system of Fan Yao people. This study not only supplements for Yao's music culture that lack of historical records, but also an important field of expanding the music culture study of minority based on the cultural heritage of ancestors.
