| The educational circle have very different appraisements on a type of accustomed language phenomenon which is of good value of application. And there is no research progress in this field until now. Thus, it's very necessary to investigate this subject.The language phenomenon is "the disyllabic compound words with the same structure and the same meaning" which refer to series of disyllabic compound words with the following features:1) the words having the same structure, the same meaning and the same syntactical functions; 2) the words have one same morpheme in corresponding positions, and the other morphemes of them are of the same part of speech, the same or related meaning.Based on the stone inscriptions in dynasties from WEIJIN to WUDAI, the dissertation investigates "the disyllabic compound words with the same structure and the same meaning". And also with the reference to the handed down documents, the dissertation tries to prove that "the disyllabic compound words with the same structure and the same meaning" are commonly used. It also discusses the factors which help to bring about the phenomenon, surveys the generation law in each series, unveils the morpheme selection law, and studies the evolution of this type of words. As to the research methods, the dissertation integrates the traditional textual research and modern cognitive linguistic theory, diachronic and synchronic investigation, induction and deduction, close and open research. It also lays stress on database method.Pay attention to during evolution research of modern Chinese to communicate with the ancient Chinese.Making full use of the universality of "the disyllabic compound words with the same structure and the same meaning", we can complement the static studies, improve the methods of explanation of words in ancient books, make up the short-comings in dictionary compilation, enhance the compilation of stone inscriptions, and advance the study of words meaning extension, etc. |
