Weng Fanggang(ç¿æ–¹çº²) represented one of them called Texture(è‚Œç†). In the 1940s, Guo Shaoyu(éƒç»è™ž)defined this theory as philosophical connotations(义ç†) and organization(æ–‡ç†). Literary history researchers were used to following this initial explanation. However, I have an increasing tendency to reject it, and believe that the Texture is not the one and only theory for Weng Fanggang. Some scholars have already discoverd it, but had no proper interpretation yet. We should have a complete discussion of the core person and his life, so that we can present his thinking process, and restore the true literature history with the imagination as little as possible. This thesis consists of four parts. After read a great quantity of manuscripts, I have got the real interpretation of the Texture, and realized it was drawn out from the analysis of Du Fu's(æœç”«) poetry. Therefore, in the first part I discuss the close relationshio between Du Fu's poetry and the Texture. and also the approach to study Du Fu's poetry---the poetic theory named Reversal Writing(逆笔),brought up by Huang Tingjian (黄åºåš).Weng Fanggang was the longer disciple of Wang Yuyang(王渔洋). In fact, during his poetics construction process, he accepted and at the same time abandoned Wang's theory. The second part of the thesis starts with a book called Examples of Poems with Seven Characters to A Line with Sanmadhi(七言诗三昧举隅), which was selected and edited by Weng Fanggang. And he discovered the reason why Wang Yuyang encouraged people to start with Wang Wei (王维). However, he proposed the positive description (æ£é¢é“ºå†™)as the highest stage in ancient poetry writing, and emphasized on the work of realism(切实). Some of his disciples sincerely believed it, just as Liang Zhangju (æ¢ç« é’œ).As an epigraphist living in the Qianjia period, Weng took academic studies as a way of poetic writing. Scholars like to talk about the knowledge in his own poetry. The third part of this thesis is based on these problems. Meanwhile, it clears up the misunderstanding due to Weng's political identity. It is believed that Weng Fanggang advocated the Song poetry. The forth part of the thesis is focuses on this topic. The conclusion is that Weng's Song poetics was against the book anthology of Song poetry (宋诗钞)by Wu Zhizhen(å´ä¹‹æŒ¯), and Weng had a strong sense on the literature history. Moreover, he considered Du Fu as the most important role in his poetics, which reflected his own effort on tracing back Tang and Song poems to the same origin. We have established real descriptions of Weng Fanggang's poetics. The conclusion section of the thesis analyzes the relation of Texture and positive description on the basis of Liang Zhangju's record.
