The Study On Different Glyph Of Chinese Mainland And Taiwan In CJK

There are 20,902 ideographic characters in CJK Unified Ideographs. Through particularly inspecting, we found there are more 9000 Chinese characters exist glyph differences in five aspects between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan. These glyph differences display distinct characteristics, and the reasons of glyph differences is various. Comparing and analysising some representative glyphs by historical and realistic multi-angle methods, we put forward the standard unified plan of different glyphs between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, and planned a blueprint how to unified Chinese characters in Mainland and Taiwan. We are aimed at providing academic support in real and virtual communication, providing effective theoretical and practical basis for establishment of language policies, providing academic preparation for realizing standard unifid characters in Mainland and Taiwan. Moreover, this also is currently an important part to build harmonious language of life.The introduction, this paper mainly introduces the background, present situation, the object, the steps, methods and significance of research.The first chapter, the present situation of CJK Unified Ideographs between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan. There are more 9000 of correspondent Chinese characters those are more or less difference in form of strokes, stroke, stroke interchange mode, structural modes and components between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan in CJK Unified Ideographs.The second chapter, features and causes of glyph differences between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan in CJK Unified Ideographs. Differences of glyph display distinct characteristics: First, Distribution of different glyphs show distinctive features; Second, the differences of Chinese characters between Chinese mainland and Taiwan concentrated on form of strokes and stroke relations; Third, dyslexia that caused by glyph differences between Chinese mainland and Taiwan is not much; Forth, glyphs of Taiwan look like loose, glyphs of Mainland look like rigorous, clear and beautiful. There are a number of factors that cause the incomformity of characters between Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, including opposition of politics, diversity of cultural aesthetic trends, desynchrony of character policies and the inconsistency of character standards.The third chapter and the fourth chapter, unified specification of different glyphs between Mainland and Taiwan in CJK(first), (second). Firstly we interpreted five principles of standard what glyph should be unified according to, then divided differences of glyph into seven category: difference of strokes form, difference of stroke number, difference of stroke relations, difference of component, separating and merging of component, selecting of the new and the old glyph, difference of structure. There are more than 12,000 points of difference in 9000 of correspondent Chinese characters (because of some words have point of difference more than one, such as "敬" has two points of difference: "艹" and "攵"). From that, we generalized about 200 Chinese components that be compared with same glyph of Chinese character, include oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions, Xiaozhuan, Lishu, regular scrip and modern printing glyph. We traced history of glyph evolution, looked for reasons of glyph evolution, concluded the regularity of glyph evolution, and pointed out the glyph that is advantages of characteristics, at last standard unified 9000 different glyphs. There are about 7000 characters should be standard unified completely accoding to Mainland glyph, there are about 1200 characters should be standard unified completely accoding to Taiwan glyph, there are about 800 characters should be standard unified after be corrected.So we not only can standard unify glyph of the core part of 20902 in CJK, also can standard unify glyph of about 80000 in CJK, and achieve the complete reunification of characters in Mainland and Taiwan.The fifth chapter, further discourses on the route chart of standard unify characters in Mainland and Taiwan. To thoroughly resove "character is not same when writing" between Mainland and Taiwan, we must gradually do at least four aspects work: First, to eliminate the hostility mood in the field of ideology and unify cognition; Second, to unify inheritance and complicated characters; Third, to unify variant forms; Fourth, to differentiate between simplified words.
