Unified Study Of The Strait Of Chinese Characters,

Based on the comparison and analysis to the current used characters of Chinese mainland and Taiwan, the author of this paper drew a conclusion that the main difference between the two sides was because simplified Chinese characters used in the former, while the traditional characters used in the latter, which definitely caused some barriers in the two sides' communication and exchange, even making against the unification of the mother-land.The author conceived some ways to solve this problem at the ground of the predecessors' studies, which include three steps for achieving a recent goal. Firstly, the two sides should try to make their own character standardization construction better based on keeping the present Chinese characters shape unchanged, which is consulted from the frame, making the simplified and traditional ones compatible. The work that the part of the Chinese mainland should do is to revise the simplified characters system properly and put forward the detailed measure to the urgent problem at present, switching with one touch. Besides, the author brought in the theory that separating the characters using field and standardization field, which can guarantees not only the criterion in social regular characters' using, but also in academic field and the two sides' communication.Establishing the unified pressing criterion of simplified character and traditional characters, making the two system can switch freely, for ascertaining the final unified criterion of the Chinese characters, is the next two steps.
