Bunu language belongs to Miao branch of Miaoyao sub-family of Sino-Tibetan family. It is mainly divided into three dialects, that's, Bunu dialect, Baonao dialect, Numao dialect. The language in dialect is in close relations of the self-calling of Bunuyao's each place. A branch unit is a dialect group. The name of the dialect often regards the self-calling of dialect group as the dialect code. But such division is weighed and fixed according to the actual conditions of the whole distribution of Bunu language. And it's still very difficult to accomplish very accurate division. Because Bunu language is very complicated, the difference within each dialect is not very great. But there is greater difference between dialects. Some can understand when they speak. Some can communicate after familiarity with each other for some time. Such as the speakers of Baonao dialect and the speakers of Bunu dialect of Bunuyao(Dongnuo) branch can communicate with each other after this two different dialect speakers are familiar with each other for some time. So do the speakers of Numao dialect and so do the speakers of Bunuyao, Bunu and so on. This thesis mainly researches the sound and word system.
