With the development of Language for Specific Purposes, it is valuable to reveal the characteristics of specialty areas language vocabulary systematic and explore the regulation of second language vocabulary teaching. This study analyses the characteristics of Chinese for Specific Purposes (CSP) through the Business Chinese vocabulary.This dissertation consists of six chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the background and the research status of Business Chinese, analyzes its research status and value. And then base on the Business Chinese test (BCT) build a "Business Chinese lexical database" for the quantitative study. The second chapter contrasts the similarities and differences between the Business Chinese vocabulary and Common Chinese vocabulary. Seven typical characteristics of Business Chinese vocabulary are summed up. The third chapter analyzes the word-formation characteristics of Business Chinese vocabulary. The fourth chapter discusses the morphological rules in Business Chinese vocabularies. Most of the productive morphological rules are composed of nominal morpheme. The fifth chapter constructs a frame semantic system of Business Chinese vocabulary for the L2learner based on the Frame semantics theory. Business Chinese vocabularies are more systematic in the frame semantic system, because some lexical meanings are interconnected in this system. The sixth chapter analyzes the principle of vocabulary compiled in the Business Chinese textbook, especially of vocabulary selection and arrangement. What's more, teaching methods of Business Chinese vocabularies is also studied in this chapter. The analogy regularity of morphological rules should guide how to arrange the order of vocabulary. And the frame semantic system should guide how to select the vocabulary in the textbook. Moreover, teaching methods can be used such as translation pedagogy, morpheme pedagogy, frame categorizes pedagogy, and task-based approach. The fourth part, the fifth part and the sixth part are the core parts of this study. The research methods of quantitative, qualitative, data analysis and comparative analysis are used in this study.Based on this study, it could be discovered that the vocabulary should be differentiated in professional for the development of CSP. And the productive morphological rules and Frame semantic system of Business Chinese vocabularies should be used to compile the Business Chinese textbook.
