It's well known that Lu Xun's short stories have been usually been considered to be profound in ideas and rich in meanings. However, What* re the paths to reach the depth by it's rhetorical skills?Provided Lu Xun's fictions were put into the visual field of Rhetoric, it could not very difficult for us to find out the design of dual textual structures just because of two types of the implied readers in his works of fiction. One is the common readers and the other is the intellectual ones. The former is accordingly made consistent with the feels ?structure that it's internal nucleus is the implied author's shout encouragement and enlightenment. The latter is accordingly made consistent with the intellectual structure which originally acts as the "potential dialogue" between two kinds of the intellectuals. Although the two structures of the same texts have their conceptual abstract and clear line, but their realistic condition is a indivisible whole, which can be called the "structure of the feelings and intellectual" or the "dual structure of the feelings and intellectual" . This is the just structure that may open the door to anybody. However, it created another poetics for the intellectual more often than not. For it's real art function would be to "make its readers sensitive and read the slight effect from his works." Nevertheless, there are many structures that Lu Xun designed with great care, such as the prelude ?text structure, the duplicate - negative structure, the round structure, the inverse proportion structure, the direct proportion structure, the blank structure etc. By means of them, Lu Xun made his texts of fiction more abundant and profound than words itself. Therefore, if we are in contempt of them when reading, the theme would hardly be caught catch of.Owing to the art looking for "self - expressing" and the historical responsiblity of "inquiring into nationality", Lu Xun made the thought (while not the disposition) as the narrative centre of his novels.
