This artical combines material objects with historic document, makes clue of the character of Cao calligraphy and its function, analyzes and studies the appearance of Cao calligraphy, explains the trend law, and makes the conclusion of the origin, formation, spread, development and classification of Cao calligraphy. This artical contains several main chapters as below:Preface: reviews the studying conditions of the tendency of Cao calligraply, and comes up with the research method in the base of the analysis of Cao calligraphy studying.Chapler 1: explanation of Cao calligraply. This chapter contains two parts. First, it discusses the relationship of Cao calligraphy and Cao gesture, the namely and essential relationship of Cao calligraphy and its written concept. The relationship can help to realize the character of Cao calligraphy, and the relationship can help to make good use of the Cao's written concept and historic document. Second, this chapter discusses the concept of Cao calligraphy, its changes in history, and its classification. The concept of Cao calligraphy is not changeless in history. The study of its changes can help to realize the essential of the Cao's written gesture. The classfication of Cao calligraphy is the main topic of this chapter. By the means of the questions in classifying the Cao's written concept in past, this artical puts forword the classifying method in Cao callgraphy: Cao calligraphy in Han Dynasty, and Cao Calligraphy after Han Dynasty.Chapler 2: the evolution of Cao gesture. This chapter contains three parts. First, it discusses and deducts the origin of Cao calligraphy by the means of gesture, writing character and political factors. The gesture and writing character of Cao calligraphy is in accord with the tendency of chinese words and pregnants with the tendency of chinese word. Political factor, as a eternal cause, has a promotive influence to the origin of Cao calligraphy. Second, this chapter discasses some questions about the relationship of Cao calligraphy in Han Dynasty and Zhang cao calligraphy in a general view of analysis of Cao calligraphy in Han Dynasty. Because we often look the Zhang cao calligraphy as Cao calligraphy in Han Dynasty, and neglect the different conditions in Han Cao calligraphy's origin and its development, so it is necessary to disscuss the relationship of Zhang cao calligraphy and Han Cao calligraphy. The Han Cao calligraphy developed into Zhang cao calligraphy, at the same time, it also developed into the Present Cao calligraphy. This Chapter mainly discusses the Zhang cao calligraphy. Present Cao calligraphy will be discussed in Chapter 3. Third, this chapter discusses the evolution of Cao calligraphy after Han Dynasty. The formation of Present Cao calligraphy is a main result of Han Cao calligraphy' s development. The devel-opment of Present Cao calligraphy is mainly shown as the unique style of its verstilistic evolution and the formation of the so - called Crazy Cao calligraphy. Combined with the style of Zhang cao calligraphy, as a writing skill, is a calligraphic, branch different from Han Cao calligraphy and Present Cao calligraphy, it is the result of the attaching importance to the aesthetic value of Cao calligraphy.Chapler 3: the value of Cao calligraphy. This chapter contains two parts. First, it discusses the practical value of Cao calligraphy. The practical value of Cao calligraphy lies in its elaboration. Not only has an advantage of convinence and dexterity, the practical function of Cao calligraphy also has some obvious confinement. The confinement mainly lies in the obstacle of learning, recognizing and speeking. In addition, this chapter also discusses the measure of making standard resulting from the Cao calligraphy's practical confinement. Second, this chapter discusses the elab-oratic value of Cao calligraphy. Between the elaboratic value and practical function, it has antagonism and unitary.
