Jin and Yuan dynasty is a signal epoch in the history of development of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Theory came from four famous doctors in the age influence significantly on the TCM' s development, those doctors are often been called four great masters of Jin and Yuan dynasty.In this paper, Li Dong yuan is a chief object. The brief account of his life and the medical literature and the academic reseatch have been studied carefully and completely. All his achievement and influence on the TCM' s development have been discussed.In this paper, the valuable reference document came form the works written by Li Dong yuan.
