Metaphysical Manifestation Of Musical Meaning And A Study On The Possibility Of Intentional Being

This dissertation is a study aiming the following questions: Does music have any meaning? Where is the meaning of music? What is the metaphysical manifestation of musical meaning? The goal of the article is to give an appropriate theoretic position to the musical perceptual intuitive experience of man, and also, on the premise of this, the article confirms: of what gesture should man take while directly facing musical works.Based on theoretical questions, such as sound and the concept of sound, feeling and form, meaning and intention, the article discusses the actual existence of musical works through sound construction, it discusses the historical existence of musical works through form and structure, and discesses the intentional being of musical works through the structure of meaning.Corresponding the above, also on the premise of emphasizing the relation between meaning and intentional being, the article defined items and theories related with musical meaning .and constructed a reasonable theoretical bench by absorbing and drawing existed theoretical sources.(For this purpose, the article took aspects of aesthetics of music which are relevant to the musical meaning as a pitching-in point, and expanded modern aesthetics as well as theories in arts. While emphasizing the study and explanation to Western modern philosophy and aesthetic theories, the article integrated Marxism historical materialism and Western classical critical philosophy.) Moreover, the author tried his best to manifest the historical and logical united synthetical direction as well as its relevant dynamics.Main terms and concepts in this article:Meaning(Sinn): a thing that is embodied in object but not included in the category of experience.lntention(Intentiori): a way of consciousness directly facing the object, and a kind of intuitivebehaviour directing the subject itself.Intentional being(intentionalitat Seiri): a term and concept originated in this article. It means anobject that is created by subjective conciousness, the object is distinguished from consciousnessitself, it is a thing-in-itself, and a thing with objective nature. At the same time, this object couldalso be manifested by man's subjective intuition.By all the above issues, the article gives its answers: music has meaning, not only sound; musical meaning is embodied both by the sound and things behind the sound, and it is manifested by intention; the metaphysical manifestation of musical meaning is actually the intentional being.After demonstrating the possibility of intentional being, comes the conclusion of this article: intentional being is manifested as the metaphysical manifestation of musical meaning.
