Language Studies In The Trail Book

This thesis takes the Taoist Scriptures in medieval times as research object, which are not considered by us before. The author expects expanging the research field.The paper is divided into six chapters. After reviewing the history of study on faoist cultural heritage and clarifing the ages of Taoist scriptures, it brings up the new tentative idea as for the current situation of reseach. Then it mainly discusses three parts such as vocabulary, folk-characters and cant.The paper firstly studies some words and expressions of Taoist document, and lays stress on the special new meaning in them.At the same time concretely investigates the material which was arranged by Tao Hongjing. secondly explaining and studying the folk-characters of Taoist Scriptures. Thirdly elaborating the value of Taoist document in the ancient works and dictionary compiling by the knowledge of Philology, Phonology and Hermeneutic.Finally trying to discuss the cant of Taoist Scriptures from the aspects of production, type, structure and cultural characteristic.
