The war between Song and Yuan in the 13th century .which was launched by Mongol aristocrats and lasted for 40 years ,destroyed Song dynasty. Although the war resulted in the unification of China, Yuan army's brutal massacre and barbarous behavior during the war arose the strong resistance of the soldiers, Confucian scholars and the national heros of South Song.such as Wen Tian Xiang, Lu Xiu Fu, Zhang Shi Jie etc. The brutal war caused the large-scale migration of the people of South Song to the South . They went together around the mountains and armed to resist. Some of them concealed their identity and became hermits, some migrated into the south area and reclaimed land with the whole families, or migrated abroad. These migrants brought with them the advanced production technology and culture in the JiangNan area and made the important contribution to LingNan development. At the same time, it promoted the development of the Hakka ethnic group. The dissertation studies the migration of Southeast Area (including ZheJiang, Fujian, Jiangxi and Guangdong etc. now) when Yuan army pushedsouth from Yuan army's seizure of Lin'an to the perdition of South Song after Yanshan Battle in 1279.
