Fudan University, China, History Of Literary Criticism Outline

The thesis studies on the Fudan University's research history of Criticism of Chinese Classical Literature and its attainment, contribution and status in the whole development history of that kind of study by the means of a combined research method with macro-classification and micro-analysis. Furthermore, the author expounds the learned tradition and learned style of the Fudan University's research history of Criticism of Chinese Classical Literature.On the view of the depiction of the development history, the author divides the whole Fudan University's research history of Criticism of Chinese Classical Literature into four periods which conclude founding period, sinuous development period, carrying forward period and new century period, which is based on the thinking of the whole development circumstances of the studies. The author focuses on those important scholars, works and events and gives them a distinct description.As the supplements of history study, the introduction of the learning conferences is given. Moreover, the portraits of the scholars working in this research field in Fudan University are also painted.Another main part of this thesis is the discussion and analysis on the learned tradition and style of Fudan University's research in this field. The author discusses and analyzes the "Dao", which means the abstract learned principles, seek and spirit, together with the "Fa", which means the concrete learned ideas and methods. Therefore, the learned tradition and style of Fudan University's research in this field are examined and manifested.
