Practice Report On The Interpretation Of The Speech By Obama In The FuDan University

In this interpretation practice report, the author took the speech of Obama in FudanUniversity in November2009as the corpus and finished the simultaneous interpretationindependently. The author introduced, analyzed and summarized the procedure and problemsof this simultaneous interpretation. The report consists of five parts. In the first chapter, theauthor briefly described the task of the interpretation, including the source requirements andcontents of the task. In the second chapter, the author briefly described the procedures of thetask, including three steps. In the third chapter, the author elaborately expounded thepreparation before the interpretation, including the research of the background; the predictedand relative vocabularies; the preparation of voice recording equipment. In chapter four, theauthor cut out several typical examples of the simultaneous interpretation to show how to dealwith the problems in the procedure through some methods and theories. Finally, the authorgiven some suggestions according to the existing problems; summarized the faults andexperience to the other interpretation task.
