The title of this paper is Spatial Unfolding: Studies on Contemporary Poetics Ideas, this indicate its main point is the interpretation and the abstraction of heart morphology and crucial points of contemporary poetics ideas, as well as the reduction of true discourse situation of contemporary poetics and the revealing of complexity of constitution of history that carry out on the before foundation, we expect that this work would clarify the main spiritual developments and theoretical trends after 1978 of poetics ideas that were produced during more than twenty years in some degrees.The most important idea that we mainly discussed is 'history', what we investigated deeply is the different forms and patterns of this fundamental idea: it can be introduced in the dispute between 'history' and 'aesthetics'; it can be concentrated on the deranged relation between 'modernity' and 'postmodernity'; it can also be refered in the opinion on 'tradition' and 'present'. This reflects complex constitution and understanding mode of historical situation of poetics ideas. Therefore, so-called 'Spatial Unfolding'means the unreduciable particularity of contemporary Chinese poetics ideas. We expect our discussion is not only the rediscover of complex constitution inside 'history',but also the reenrichment of the intension of 'history' idea and historical consciousness. In present context, we will reduce or deconstruct the idea of 'history'into its plural form.What compose this paper are under three volume: I .Dispute between 'History'and 'Aesthetics'; II .Deranged Relation between 'Modernity' and 'Postmodernity'; III .Fusion of 'Tradition'and 'Present'. We want our discussion can point to or give prominence to following three problems: I .the persisting in the wholeness and completeness of history of new Chinese poetry; II .the complicated understanding of present historical situation;III.the returning and the grafting of tradition. Those aspecets are basic multi-intension and polymorphology of 'history'idea, as well as the tensional horizon in which our poetics thinking and poetry writing today and future must keep. The useful expand of historical idea and the necessary unifying of historical horizon as this are our actual start position. We believe, incompleteness of historical idea and deficient of historical horizon must lead to the poorness in thinking and actuality together, this is our basic conclusion in the paper.For this reason, the express way of 'Spatial Unfolding' in title is practically not metaphor; therefore it is the deconstruction of linear historical idea, but in my view, 'deconstruction' is not to make the past into waste heap as the demonlized understanding of this word, on the contrary, it will release us from the momotonous and the intension of one-dimension time and reduce these into plenty and relaxation of multi-dimension---this can be named a kind of 'postmodern' historical idea, and in my view too, only this idea is true ' postmodern' historical idea.'Postmodern'is not following of the linear history idea and one-dimension time logic and cancellation of past history, on the contrary, it provided the possible horizon which lead past history to break through the above-mentioned logical chain and to pile itself upon the present...
