. Since Imperial palace's poems were fund in the region of Dun-huang(S. 6171), they concern lots of scholars, such as Mr. Xiang da , Mr.Liu ming-su, Mr. Zai li-si, Mr. Ba zhou , Mr. Rao zong-yi, Mr. Ren ban-tang, Mr. Zhang xi-hou, Mr. Xiang chu, Mr. Xu jun. But the results of S. 6171's research were limited at the study of these poems' words. The reason is that, S. 6171 is incomplete and the author's name is not signed. So we could not know the time of the poems be composed out and the contents of the poems. Though the latest opinion of its research is that these poems might be written out in the period of the middle and later of Tang Dynasty, in fact, most of these poems were composed out before the middle of Tang Dynasty. Therefore, it is necessary to go on studying these poems of S. 6171 deeply. The main purpose of this paper is to study these poems of S. 6171, and to find that, when these poems were written out and who the author(s) of these poets was (were). The second target is to describe what the background that these poems could be written is, and to make it clear how these poems could be fund in the region of Dun-huang. To solve these problems, this paper needs to discuss them from three aspects:In the first part, the paper will discuss these problems involving of why the name of the paper is Imperial palace's poems be fund in Dun-huang, what the purpose and the mission of this paper are, whichmethod will be used to study this paper, what the value of discussing this paper is, and how many the present achievements we have.In the second part, the paper will study these thirty-nine poems. Firstly, the paper will make it clear that what these misty words in these poems are, and correct the wrong words in these poems. Secondly, the paper will let us know what these poems want to tell us, and according to the contents of these poems, will find when these poems were be written out. Thirdly, the paper will look for poems in Poems Of Tang Dynasty, which is related to these poems of S. 6171, and then calculate the written-time of the thirty-nine poems according to the composed-time of poets in Poets Of Tang Dynasty. At last, the paper drives the conclusion that these thirty-nine poems are not composed out by a people, in a place and in a period of time.In the third part, the paper will tell us that these poems were all written before the middle of Tang Dynasty. They could be fund in Dun-huang, because the people lived there wanted to know the things taking place in the imperial palace and love to read these poems of imperial palace. To the problem how these poems could spread from Xi-an to dun-huang, the paper thinks that, firstly, these poems spread in the im7perial palace, which make the poems written by elder generation could be reserved down. Then, somebody make these poems spread out of the imperial palace, at last, these poems were brought from Xi an, and were brought to Dun-huang later. Because of the written-time of these poems is earlier than those poems in the book of Poems of Tang Dynasty, these thirty-nine poems can be named the Ancestor of The Imperial Palace's Poems, and they can make up the lack of the historical materials of Tang Dynasty.
