Focusing specifically on the interrogatory collector and connoisseur Liang Qing-biao, this dissertation aims at exploring the individual case to reflect several key issues in the Painting and Calligraphy Authentication History of Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as the concept of collection and authentication changed significantly after "Nan-hua-bei-yi" (the painting and calligraphy transmitted from Eye Area to Northern Centre by Wu Qi-zhen, which mean the collection concept change, and the rising of Northern collected centre), and the existing connoisseurship problems of "Chinese Ancient Painting and Calligraphy Genealogy" etc. Liang Qing-biao was not only the key person who collected the painting and calligraphy of "Nan-hua-bei-du" in late-ming and early-qing Dynasties, but also the largest collector in the early Qing dynasty. What he authenticated collection of Jin and Tang, Song and Yuan Dynasties were mainly the source of Royal court, and the gem collection of every larger museums.Beginning from the existing painting and calligraphy catalogue of Liang Qing-biao collected, this study had compiled 617 pieces collection of his collection based on the former researchers, connected Liang Qing-biao's family tree, manuscript, works, atlas and epitaph unearthed in Zhengding of Hebei province to revise Liang Qing-biao's career, collected time, fund source, function and methods of his collection, and to be examined his intercourse circles of connoisseurship by the anecdotes, poetry of the literati offices at the time, where concerned mainly on his collection concept and criteria, the influences on his contemporary and later connoisseurs, as well as his contribution to the authentication history, meanwhile to explore the promotional disciplinary methodology and questions on the Chinese Authentication History. This dissertation, meanwhile, solve the elusive Liang Qing-biao's problems which started from reviser Weng Fang-gang until Xie Wei.In this study, the author use "Localization research methods" (synthesizes Sociology of knowledge, cultural anthropology, ethnography etc. research methods based on traditional revise and Ji-yi compilation) of multi-subject and cross-layer to investigate Liang Qing-biao's social model of authentication, collection, conveyance for the further probe entity of authentication history. The author believe that Liang Qing-biao's "authenticate-collect-model " had been revised the methods and manner of late-ming "Dong Qi-chang Era" , and elaborates Liang Qing-biao's great contribution and influence in the history of "Nan-hua-bei-yi" and in the generated knowledge process of "Chinese Ancient Painting and Calligraphy Genealogy".
