Wen-Xuan is the earliest Chinese poetry and prose anthology existent. Since the period of Sui and Tang dynasties till today, the study of Wen-Xuan has become a "hot topic" of Chinese traditional. Although experienced much ups and downs, had never stopped developped after 1400 years .studies for it has greatly affected the imperial examinations, the development of literature and science studies etc. The annotation of Wen-Xuan is the most important content of the study, and there have been lots of achievements of it. The research in its history, has kept a tendency of deeper and more perfect. Today, the annotation of Wen-Xuan has become a typical example of literature annotations. So, study of the annotation of Wen-Xuan is a very meaningful action not only for the development of the study of Wen-Xuan but also for the reseaching of to the study of the means and character of the whole Chinese literature annotations.This dissertation tries to generalize all the situations and achievements of the important aspects of the annotations of Wen-Xuan. The emphasis of this dissertation is the "excavating" of literature annotation character , trying to sum up the important aspects,methods and achievement. and so to exhibit the variousness of the Chinese annotation study.Excluding the introduction,this dissertation is divided into eight chapters for five parts,those are the general situation , characters and reasons of the annotation of Wen-Xuan of different periods;the study of annotation systems of Wen-Xuan; the study of the annotation mode the study of the annotation method; the study of the literary annotations of Wen-Xuan .These parts sum up the general situation , characters about all the annotations of Wen-Xuan.In the dissertation of every chapter, macro generalization linkes with typical analysis, learning discussing links with history seaching, trying to exhibite the forming and developing tracks of all kinds of annotation. Making the study of every aspect has detailed classification, abundant data, clearly origins, which depends on each other for existence, constituting an organic whole.This dissertation makes some creative work from the following aspects:First, it is this dissertation that firstly and systematically reviews the annotation general situation of Wen-Xuan of all periods.
