As an outstanding scholar with comprehensive expression of the study of Confucian classics in the end of Han Dynasty, Zheng Xuan's poetic study mainly includes the summary and the development of the politics and Education poetic study at Han Dynasty. Zheng Xuan expressed the thinking of a scholar of the study of Confucian classics on Shi Jing (the Book of Songs) and the literature creation idea, his idea represented the highest achievement on the Politics and Education poetic study in the Eastern Han Dynasty. So , this paper is written to discuss the origin theory of Zheng Xuan's study, his innovation, the literature and the influence of Zheng Xuan's study on the book of songs in combination with the overview on the Confucianism and the special disorderly time, and we try to get a further understand about Zheng Xuan's study on the Book of Songs.This paper has three different parts, including the introductive part, main text, and the conclusive part.The introductive part mainly discusses the research category, the research survey, this article's study necessity, the mentality and the research technique.The first chapter is written to sum up those domestic and overseas studies. Since the 20th century, the researches on Zheng Xuan and his study have got many achievements after several times of desolation. Now it is becoming many-faceted, more objective and profound.The second chapter mainly discusses the purpose of Zheng Xuan's completely summarizing to Shi Jing, his achievement and the character. Zhen Xuan made Zheng Jian (the Annotation on Mao Heng's Commentaries on The Book of Songs )and Mao Shi Pu (Mao's poems manual) in order to "finding the original purpose of the saint Confucians , standardize the different academic opinion " and use the ac ademic to correct the dark domination. Zheng Xuan's study on Shi Jing is an important part of his study on the Confucian Classics, as the mainly theory carrier of his political opinion, it's combined with the traditional Confucian hope and literature opinion. Zheng Jian and Mao Shi Pu manual constructs a new history system of interpreting. Around Shi Jing there is a coordinate system, in which the characteristics of each poem will be made clear before us. Zheng Xuan's study on the book of songs reaches the summit of the study on Shi Jing.The third chapter mainly discusses the development. Zheng Xuan's study is not limited by the past studies, it presents many creative opinions such as paying more attention to the political satire and the emotion expressed by Shi Jing; constructing a system of interpreting Shi Jing with the times of Shi Jing as the longitudinal axis; the interpretation of Shi Jing by Li and using 'Xing'(metaphor) as the most important transfer method. These four characteristics form independent systems of their own and at the same time supplement and complement each other.The fourth chapter concludes the achievement and the influence of Zheng Xuan. He realizes the second great unity in the history of the study on Shi Jing. Therefore it ends the debating situation on the study of Shi Jing in that period. Zheng Xuan's study on Shi Jing has profound influence on the later academic research for more than one thousand years. There is important academic research value for Zheng Xuan's study on Shi Jing. Another one,Zheng Xuan began to put emphasis on the aesthetics value of Shi Jing and try to combine it with its politic worth.The conclusion declares the big value of Zheng Xuan's study and the necessity to do further study once again.
