Confucius Heaven Concept And Its Ecological Ethics

The relationship between nature and human has been the main subject in China philosophy. Basing on the interpretation of connotation of "human" and "nature", Confcius, Men and Xunzi expounded the relationship between them from the different angels and formed two kinds of different reasures of value. One was the idea of harmony nature and human. As to this principle of kind human nature, the majore points come to that human beings should submit to God's will. What's more, in this principle, the relationship was harmony beween nature and human nature , moral training, the ruler, the people, human beings. The other was the thought of the separation of human and nature. Because the separation, human can perorm their own duty.These two viewpoints on the relationship between nature and human are different, with the former advocating integration and the latter advocating separation, but these two proposition do not contradicted each other. On the contrary, they complement each other. Till today, these viewpoints still have great enlightenment to human beings. Because after the prosperity of the western industrial civilization, the natural ecology was destroyed as the result of the imbalance between human and nature, which has constituted a danger to the human existence. So we have to explore the relationship between human and nature philosophically. In fact,in ancient times in China, this kind of relationship was already explored, reflected by the viewpoints of Confcius, Mencius and Xunzi. Therefore, it provides us with a measure of value to introspect seriously the relationship between nature and human and synthesize the theoretical framework of Confcius, Mencius and Xunzi and form a new thought which proposes the separation of human and nature-the integration of human and nature. That is to say, we should combine systematically the remarking of nature with the protection of ecology. On one hand, we should be aware of the "separation of human and nature" and fully play our dynamic role to remark nature, thus obtaining wealth from nature and improving our living standard. On the other hand, when asking for wealth from naturre, we must observe the principle of the integration of human and nature, keep the balance of nature and protect our ecological environment.
