Yuanjia Literature Research,

Yuanjia Period is an important phase in history when literature freed itself from the influence of neo-Taoism and gained its independence. Therefore, a systematic analysis of the development mechanism, a generalization of its artistic achievements and an analysis of its historic status are quite significant to the further research of Middle Age of ancient Chinese literature.This article consists of seven chapters. The first chapter analyzes the Yuanjia literary trend of thought from these respects: the emergence of literary summary trend of thought, the deepened knowledge of literature traits, the relationship between the revival of Confucian doctrine and the up and down of neo-Taoism, the innovation of literature styles; finds out the underlined causes for the literature independence and the decline of neo-Taoism in this period.The second chapter focuses on the presentation of the imperial palace literature activities, the shogun literature activities, the family literature activities and the literary friends literature activities; analyzes how these literature activities influenced the development of Yuanjia literature.The third chapter analyzes the doctrine of "Yuanjia Period is the turning point in the poem development " from three respects: the resumption in the period of late Jin Dynasty and early Song Dynasty back to the poem tradition in Weijin Period , the establishment of Yuanjia poetic mode and Baozhao's reform of poetic mode in the late Yuanjia period ;expounds the development of poem in Yuanjia Period.The fourth chapter tries to analyze the mechanism characteristics of "Yuanjia style" from four respects: length, parallel pair, tunes and rhythms; analyzes the significance of "Yuanjia style "for the development of Chinese ancient poetic mechanism.The fifth chapter expounds the artistry progress of Yuanjia cifu and its status in the cifu development of Southern Dynasties by virtue of case analyses.The sixth chapter explores the writing of Yuanjia prose, expounds the artistic characteristics that there both existed the simple style and gorgeous style in Yuanjia prose and finds out Yuanjia prose played a role of continuing the preceding and introducing the following in the development of Southern Dynasties ancient prose.The seventh chapter expounds the impacts that Yuanjia literature had on Yongming literature from the angles of poems, cifu and prose; explains the scholars in Qiliang Period how to recognize the historical status of Yuanjia literature by introducing the comments in Shipin, Wenxuan and Wenxindiaolong.The chronicle of Yuanjia Literature, which sorts out the developing process of Yuanjia literature, is included in the appendix.
