The history of American-Chinese laborers in the Central Pacific Railroad construction is the inspissation of the early time American-Chinese history.By reviewing this phase of history after 140 years, the author aims to originate the truth of the history as far as possible; let more people understand this phase of history,remember the contribution and sacrifice which American-Chinese laborers made in the railroad construction process, including Chinese and American.And by analysing the reasons and conditions which result in the exclusion of Chinese from US citizenship,the author hope it will provide the historical model for the present Chinese people in America and good relationship between America and China.The paper is made up with 8chapters in 3 parts. In the first part, including first and second chapters, The author overviewed the information of the Central Pacific Railroad construction and the early American-Chinese laborers .In the second part, including third, forth, fifth and sixth chapters,the author discoursed upon the process of American-Chinese railroad laborers recruited first time;the number of all the American-Chinese railroad laborers;their occupations; their incomes and outcomes;their performance in the Bloomer Cut,Cape horn, 15 tunnels and ten mile in a day.And analyzed the problems about how many died in the railroad construction; their jobs after completing the railroad work;and the working and living conditions of the American-Chinese railroad laborers in 1864-1869.In this part,the author corrected some last words about the topic:l.It is the Jan.1864 not the spring of 1865 when the labors were recruited first time.2.The labors joined in the construction of Bloomer Cut.3. the labors used the baskets to complete the construction of Cape Horn.4.It is 14000-23000 people who were employed .5.More than 1200 people were died in the construction of the railroad,it is different with the viewpoint that about 50 people were died.the third part, is the summary and the appraise.In 1876, American Congress organized a joint board to investigate the influence of the early time American-Chinese labors.By the witness of Leland Stanford, the California governor and the president of the Central Pacific Railroad company and Charlce Crock, one of the "Four Big"; J·H·Strobridge railroad engineering Director,the author concluded the performance of labors.But the Chinese labors are treated unfairly by US.American racism and the economic recession had directly caused American domestic large-scale exclusion of the Chinese,but the early Chinese laborers' own certain flaws also became the excuse of the unfair treatment.
