This essay is taking the early Chinese laborers from Chinese American writers as the research object. On the basis of combing profile, it takes Homebase, China Men and Donald Duk as examples to study on the early Chinese laborers, showing Chinese American writers’ narrations to the early history of about the hard situation and unfair sufferings as well as their unvoiced contributions. Meanwhile, by analysis on their narrative strategy it gives an explanation to their writing commons on recalling the backwashed history, so as to reveal the Chinese early laborers’meaning to Chinese descendants’ cultural aspirations, such as pursing justice and self-identity even rebuilding the foundations of ethnic.The first chapter is an overview, briefly introducing the development of American literature, the relationship of laborers and the Chinese American literature, the basic information on behalf of three novels.The second chapter focusing on Homebase exhibits the early Chinese laborers’ historical life in letters and traveling illusions during the hero’s review to his own life. Section Ⅰ is to show the memory of life with parents and its meanings to me. Section Ⅱ shows the Chinese laborers’ historical life in hero’s illusions when reading letters and visiting ancestors’ places. Section Ⅲ is to explore the text meaning of Chinese laborers represented by memory and illusion in the novel.The third chapter focusing on China Men discusses author’s narration to early Chinese laborers’ terrible sufferings and their hard-earned contributions. Section Ⅰ specific the American dream as reasons to go abroad, Section Ⅱ is to explore the sufferings in autobiography. Section Ⅲ is to show the silence and analyze author’s counter narrative strategy.The forth chapter taking Donald Duk as example, analysis features and significance of the early Chinese laborers appeared in hero’s dreams when growing up. Section Ⅰ first introduces the problems of the little hero and analyses its reasons from the view of ideology. Section Ⅰ is to analyze the significance of family education to change thoughts. Section Ⅱ is for the subject construction, analyzing significance of the early Chinese laborers’ images and their history in dreams for the hero’s thought growth.The fifth chapter is to analyze the narration to the early Chinese laborers in the three books, pointing on their relationship and commons. Homebase takes the early Chinese laborers as the family ancestors and tradition creator showing offspring to its traditional continuity and in the form of a generation of life chain emphasizes the Chinese traditions in America. China Men emphasizes that the early Chinese laborers, not only the family ancestors, also in further in confrontational strategy highlights their suffering as hero in American history. And Donald Duk not only mentions the history footprint and hard-earned contribution, also directly reshapes the image of the early Chinese laborers in history and with dreams showing their challenges and the historical truth of revolt and the hero image, making it the leading Chinese important force in the children’s growth. Focusing on their tradition merit, hard-earned contribution and the history image, the three novels use the fictional way such as fantasy and dreams to reveal different aspects of early Chinese laborers and seek real history by representing, confrontation and rebuilding to against the western hegemonic culture. Meanwhile, the writers establish the connection between descendants and the early Chinese laborers, to reclaim America and obtain equality and justice.
