The Study Of Ye Shi's Confucianism

The thesis expounds Ye Shi's Confucianism on the unification of morality(de德)and profit(li利).It analyses philosophical base on Qian(Dao亁道).Qian(Dao)is the great changing and using.The exemplary person(jun zi君子)achieves Dao by learning and reflecting. The exemplary person that follows Dao is giving,,living,laboring and improving.(That is ren.仁)Man can create profit(li利).The profit accords with destiny(ming命)and authoritative conduct(ren仁).Man can follow Dao and work in the observance of ritual propriety(li礼)in controlling people's lusting(yu欲)so that man can gain virtue and profit,thus continue to develop.The natural humanity is always according with Dao and developing.The practrce unifies morality and profit in real life.Ye Shi penetrates social bad conditions(harm)and strives for good(shan善),utility and public causes.He is a patriot.The unification of morality and profit represents authoritative conduct(ren仁) and living.It makes for people and country and makes them rich and strong.The project of unifying morality and profit represents virtues and administrative injunctions in things and effects.The unification of morality and profit represents in criticizing of looking down on other trades except agriculture,supporting commerce and financing in common. It embodies justice and effect.Its mechanism represents man's need, spirit and practice.The unification of reason(li理)versus lusting, rightness(yi义)versus profit the important links to the unification of morality and profit.Ye Shi's Confucianism includes three steps.The first step is how to observe and understand Dao.The second step is how to change the theory of Dao into man's morality in oneself.The third step is how to apply morality to things and create wealth for people and country,not only for self,thus represents Dao and morality.This is a full process that the exemplary person always thinks,works and continues.
