The Northeastern part of China experienced the period of the fall, also known as the puppet time, from"9.18"Incident in 1931 to Japanese Defeat in 1945. The fourteen-year history of the fall of Northeastern part of China is not only a rare pain in the history of the national calamity but also a brutal chapter in the imperialist aggression against China, which had a great adverse impact in modern Chinese history, the history of Sino-Japanese relations and the international relations in northeastern Asia as well as left the painful lessons of history.During the time when the Japanese imperialism carried out the strategy of aggression in military, politics and economics, they never relaxed the aggression of spirit in culture. They made full use of the Chinese traditional culture to fool people. A large number of Japanese immigrants caused the absolute advantage of Japanese population and wanted to assimilate the Chinese people. The Japanese imperialists strengthened the enslaving education, coerced the Chinese people to believe in Okami Amaterasu and denied the national consciousness by means of control of religion. The research of this dissertation is not only traditional but also creative. The tradition lies in the fourteen-year history of the fall of Northeastern part of China, also known as the history of the puppet regime, has been the hot topic of history scholars after liberation. The creation lies in selecting the field of intellectual and cultural history to study the spirit and consciousness, which is a rare field engaged by scholars. The purpose of this paper is to disclose the evil nature of Japanese aggression from the aspect of ideology by the study of spiritual aggression and educational rule during the time of the fourteen-year history of the fall of Northeastern part of China. Furthermore, another purpose is to sum up the lessons of history, warn the future generations to make sense of the national noble spirit forever. There are mainly eight parts in this paper. Before the main body is the introduction in which there are a variety of history materials, the present condition of this study in domestic and foreign countries, the significance and creation of this study along with the necessary introduction of the theories and relative definitions of this research. The first chapter is the bird view of the development of religion in Northeastern part of China which is too complex to sort it out comprehensively. Therefore, the main line is the development of religion in northeastern part of China. In the standard clarification I summarize the development of Buddhism, Taoism, Lamaism, Islam, Christianity, Catholic, Orthodox as well as the popular civil groups of religion and education. The second chapter is the clarification of the religious institution of management and education together with its measures. The religious institution of management and education is composed of Puppet Ministry of Culture and Education (the Department for the livelihood in the medium-term), Puppet Police and Puppet Concord Council, among which Puppet Ministry of Culture and Education is the rule authority, Puppet Police and Puppet Concord Council is the authority of implementation and coordination. Puppet Ministry of Culture and Education together with its assisting organizations --- Puppet Police and Puppet Concord Council, ruled the people in the Northeastern part of China cruelly.Chapter Three is to clarify the strategy of religion taken by the puppet regime. During the fall of the Northeastern part of China, Japanese puppet regime took different policies and actions to different religions in different time and different regions, either cozy up to make use of or suppression and control, but they all accorded with the guiding principle of"the spirit of nation-building."In Chapter Four I will clarify the strategies and means of cultural transplantation by Japanese colonists, mainly focused on aggression and cultural infiltration of migrants. Two different regional cultures, if implant one into the other and lessen the exclusion of the implanted region, there are two workable methods: immigrant assimilation and cultural penetration. Then the Japanese colonists took the strategy of both. This part will discuss it concretely. In Chapter Five I will clarify the cultural aggression of Japanese Shinto in northeastern part of China. First I will date back the origin and development of Japanese Shinto and then discuss the combination with the militarism. After revealing that Shinto served fascist rule, I will demonstrate Shinto's rule in the northeastern part of China clearly, concretely and systematically and conclude its characteristics: variation of development, colonial color and forced admiration. In Chapter Six I will Analyze and evaluate Japanese invasion of the Northeastern part of China from the aspect of spirit. About the ideological rule implemented by Japan there are four areas to discuss further: first, the analysis of the including Chinese territory into Japan in spirit; second, the analysis of the puppet founding spirit; third, the influence of"Manchurian immigrants"and"cultural use"; fourth, the evaluation of religious management and educational rule.In the conclusion part I clarify the nature of the puppet regime established by Japanese imperialists. Compared with the colonist rule of TaiWan and North Korea, we can safely draw the conclusion that Japanese aggression to Northeastern part of China, from the aspect of ideology, the serious nature is unique. At last there are two urgent needs to concern: strengthen the scientific research and improve the efficiency of the use of materials; strengthen the patriotic education and foster the spirit of Chinese spirit.
