Generalization Of The Characteristics Of Art Design Disciplines

"Art Administration"refers to the whole process which is from the training to theoperation of the art market.The paper is focusing on the research of"Art Designdisciplines"to probe into the characteristics and the law of the training talented persons inart design.Since the discipline"Arts and Crafts"was renamed into"Art design"at 1988,thenumber of the colleges which establish the"Art Design"disciplines has reached to 1238;the number of the students studying art design is 1,200,000.As the scale of the Art Designdisciplines expands,we begin to pay close attention to the future of this disciplines.Howto make this new disciplines go on developing healthily becomes into a very importanttheory in the art design research.The paper abstracts and summarizes the generalcharacteristics of the Art Design disciplines,and carries out the research on the Art Designdisciplines through analyzing other characteristics of this discipline.From the perspective of the history and current situation of the Art Design education,this disciplines has four characteristics:1,Characteristic of diversity,which reflects in:1)after being integrated,this disciplines consists of seven subjects which belonged to thedisciplines"Arts and Crafts"before.In the Art Design market,these subjects are fordifferent design industries,and have their own features of professional education;2).takethe"Industrial Design"as representative,the diversity of the art design is reflected in"interdisciplinary",science and technology,commercial market and art principle whichresult in"diversity"and"interdisciplinary";3)different understanding and practice of artdesign by different college also result in diversity.2.Characteristic of merchandise directional:Art Design has a direct relationship withthe commodity markets.For the occupational characteristics,the Art Design is the designof merchandise form.In the modem design of merchandise form,the fashion characteristicof merchandise has special meanings.The Art Design's education should embody"leadingfashion"and"creating fashion".3.Characteristic of practice:Art Design is a practical disciplines,which reflects in:1)The practice in studying the subject:we should deal with the dialectical relationshipbetween"knowledge"and"practice".So the education of Art Design should focus onteaching and"practice"in learning.Through a series of"experiencing"courses,enhancing the students' interest to study the Art Design,raising the efficiency of professionalteaching,providing an effective support to practical teaching.2)In order to improve thepresent condition that the"skill knowledge"exists more common in Art Design education,the practical teaching of the Art Design should be combined with the culture of thestudents' Art Design thinking.Also the students could get effective development in"integrative practical course".3)Education of the Art Design should pay close attention tothe students' job market.At the premise of future employment,the college should enrichthe curriculum as well as combining with market experience.4.Characteristic of experience:Art Design is an emerging disciplines which decidesthe development of this disciplines will be experimental.The conversion of"Arts andCrafts"into"Art design"needs"experimental research"to complete gradually.At thebasis of the description of the disciplines' characteristics,the paper carries out a generaloverview and analysis of the administration of Art Design disciplines.At the basis of analyzing,summarizing the literature and some relevant theory andperspective,the paper carries out theoretical research on the practice of Art Designdisciplines.At the process of paper writing and researching,I did relevant experience andalso interviewed many educators and administrators in this area.Through the exploringand researching of this paper,the level of management in future work will be enhanced,atthe same time,it will be useful in others' further research.
