"genshi" Mongolian Translation Studies

This present dissertation have made broad searches and examinations of Manchu and Mongolian translations of Liao Shi,Jin Shi and Yuan Shi about their composition reason,composition course and translators and the composition treads,selection of materials and relation with Mongolian historical documents of Yuan Shi,with reference to the precedent accomplishments.The full article is consist of academic part,including three chapters with introduction before and conclusion in the end,and material part,a contrast and commentary on Yuan Shi in Chinese,Manchu and Mongolian.Introduction embrace the explanation of the topic and it's academic significances,meanings of selecting this topic,research background and methodologies in this artical.Chapter one,including three sections,is for historical study of Manchu and Mongolian translations of Liao Shi,Jin Shi and Yuan Shi by Manchu leaders in 17th century,with explanation to the questions like reason,course and doers of translation enginering.And with help of the Qing Shi Lu,I have made up the outline of life of translators like Cabuhai,Nengtu,Yecengge, Dudang,Sonom and Sereng.Chapter two,text research,including four sections,embrace an introduction to versions of Manchu and Mongolian translations of Yuan Shi, exploration to original text of Manchu and Mongolian traslation of Yuan Shi, explanation to composition and translation characteristics of Manchu and Mongolian text and exposure of the relation between Yuan Shi's Manchu translation and Mongolian historical documents.The composition style of translation text is very different from it's original Chinese text,with a thorough break-up of the biographical style of the Chinese text and complete adoption of annalistic style.On material selection and content structure,it took emperor's annals as basis,with quotations from recordes,biographies and genealogical tables.In chapter of Cinggis Qaγan,except from the content of emperor's annals,it also include extractions from biographies of Borji,Botu, Belgudei,Wei da el,Mang g'u sa el,Muhuli,Dza ba el hoju,A la u sy ti ji hu li, Ta ta tung u,Sahan,Go boo ioi,Ye lioi liu g'u,Su bu tai,Simo Minggan, Wang ji,Simo ye siyan,Sy tiyan ciyang,Ye lioi tsu tsai,Ciu cu ji,Liu heng an, Si tiyan ing,Dza ba el,Sy tiyan li,Dung jun,Jang(?)eo,Sy tiyan dze,Sili ciyan bu,Tolai,Solgo or so;chapter of Taidzung Qaγan,except from the content of emperor's annals,it also include extractions from biographies of Ye lioi tsu tsai,Sy tiyan li,An dza el,Tolai,Solgo,Su bu tai,Muhuli,Wang si siyan, Siyandzung Qaγan,Wang ioi(?)u,Sun ji hai,Yuwei lima sy or so;chapter of Dingdzung Qaγan,it just include the content of emperor's annals;chapter of Taidzung Qaγan,except from the content of emperor's annals,it also include extractions from biographies of Mang g'u sa el,Jang jin heng,G'oo ji yoo, Jang ting jen,Si dzu,Jang wen ciyan,Su bu tai,Solgo,Niu lin,Yang da yuwan,Li hu lan ji,Wang si siyan or so.In chapter of Taidzung Qaγan and Siyandzung Qaγan,it aiso include extractions from military recordes and genealogical tables.In the end of Mongolian text,there is extraction from military recordcs.There are a lot of explanations to Chinese proper names in small letters in Manchu and Mongolian texts.Chapter three,including two sections,is for study of the relation between Manchu text and Mongolian historical document.The relations are connected with two aspect:translatior's references to the Mongolian documents;and the influences of Manchu text to Mongolian historiography.The traslations and trasliterations of person names of Yuan Shi in Manchu and Mongolian text apprently took reference to the Mongolian historical documents.But in reverse, Mongolian historical work Bolor Erike by Rasipunγsuγby 18th century embraced a plenty of extractions from Manchu traslation of Yuan Shi.Conclusion includes the summarization of the precedent scholar's accomplishments,generalization of improvment by myself and consultations to futurr's academic studies.
