Study On Hu Anguo's Spring And Autumn Annals Thoughts

Song Dynasty is the transitional period of the Spring and Autumn Annals study and a period of production and development of Neo-Confucianism. In such a cultural background , Hu Anguo unified the Spring and Autumn Annals study and Neo-Confucianism, then penetrated the classical annotation of the former and the latter with the principle of righteousness. This started a new way of transition of the Spring and Autumn Annals Study and played an important role in the development of Neo-Confucianism in Southern Song Dynasty's development.This article takes Hu Anguo's works——the Spring and Autumn Period Biography as the object of study and combs the thoughts of the Spring and Autumn Annal Study from Pre-qin to Two Song Dynasties. Then, it inspects the origin and content of Hu Anguo's Spring and Autumn Annals Study Thoughts and his function and significance to the Spring and Autumn Annals study and Neo-Confucianism development in Southern Song Dynasty, as well as long-term influence to society, politics and culture in later generation.Hu Anguo's Spring and Autumn Period Biography is a combination of Neo-Confucianism and the study of Scripture. He enhanced the concept of Yuan in the Spring and Autumn Annals to Li, the overhead clearance in Neo-Confucianism and took it as the core concept and the value of the annotation system in the Spring and Autumn Annals study. In man's internal world, he analysed historical persons'behavior motives in 240 years of the Spring and Autumn Annals Study to the distinguishing of nature's justice and human desire according to the direction of Yuan, and requested the main body to rectify his own conscience to restrain human desire with nature's justice. In man's external world, he requested the political main body to take the cases from the Spring and Autumn Annals as the warning and execute the kingly way in political behaviors. Finally, he required the political main body to obey the distinguishing of barbarian tribes and China carefully, to solve the incisive nationality contradictions during Two Song and resist the minority's invasion.The first chapter includes Hu Anguo's annotation on the classical text——the Spring and Autumn Annals, manufactures the cultural context of the Spring and Autumn Period Biography——the trasitional content of the Spring and Autumn Annal Study during Song Dynasty, combs the inside story the Northern Song Dynasty principle scientist's the Spring and Autumn Annals Study. The first chapter also analyses the original theory of Hu Anguo's the Spring and Autumn Annals Study and concludes the annotation pattern of righteous principle of Hu Anguo's Spring and Autumn Period Biography.In the second chapter will analyze how Mr Hu enhanced the overhead clearance from the concept of Yuan in the Spring and Autumn Annals to Li in Neo-Confucianism based on Hu Anguo's explanation of Yuan, take it as the core concept and the value of the annotation system in the Spring and Autumn Annals and unify Hu Anguo's political activities and thoughts during Two Song Dynasties. At the same time, the course of unifying his own inner world and the real world will be discussed according to the core of Yuan.In the third chapter, taking Hu Anguo's inference of Neo-Confucianism in the Spring and Autumn Period Biography on calligraphy principle of Confucius's editorial corrections of Lu Guo's ancient stories as the object, the author will analyze how Hu Anguo judged the cases in the Spring and Autumn Annals on the standard of distinguishing of the nature's justice and human desire and only by this can we seek his righteous principle annotation of penetrating Neo-Confucianism into the Spring and Autumn Annals.And in the fourth chapter, taking the distinguishing of king and conqueror——the the traditional subject in the Spring and Autumn Annals Study as the theme, unifying the ideological background of revering the king in Northern Song Dynasty, the author will elaborate Hu Anguo's theory structure——the distinguishing of king and conqueror of inheriting Mencius, publicizing the kingly way and belittling the overbearing. At last, the author will explore the the difference between Mr Hu's theory and the former thoughts of the distinguishing of king and conqueror.In the last chapter, the distinguishing of barbarian tribes and China in Hu Anguo's Spring and Autumn Period Biography will be analyzed. Then, comb the influence of former theory of distinguishing of the barbarian tribes and China on his viewpoint. Under the special background, the author will seek the new ways of thoughts based on his continual reflection on the relations between barbarian tribes and China from Tang to Five Dynasties.In brief, Hu Anguo took the Spring and Autumn Annals the classical text as the carrier of construction annotation system and provided the system theory of constructing the social, political and cultural system during Two Song Dynasties. His thoughts about the Spring and Autumn Annals Study has had a huge influence on the study and history of the Spring and Autumn Annals and Neo-Confucianism in Song Dynasty as well as the social, political thinkings in the later generation.
