History Memory And Ethnic Group's Identity

The author regards "Yunnan Mongols'" history and current situation as her main works. "Yunnan Mongols" are the Mongolian people who are living in Yunnan province from Yuan dynasty.At first, the author uses traditional history theory and research method to demonstrate the Mongols who were expedited to Yunnan area at Yuan dynasty. Then researches there circumstances which were written on literary history after Yuan dynasty. Also then uses the "oral history" and "filed investigation" method to write down there current time's "history memory" and "ethnic group identity".The thesis has two parts. One is the historical history part, including two chapters: the history of Yunnan Mongols at Yuan dynasty and the deductive history of Yunnan Mongols after Yuan dynasty. The second part is there current story, including two chapters: living group Yunnan Mongols' stories which were inventing traditional Mongols life, and the Diaspora group Yunnan Mongols' story which was rewriting there genealogy. The last one is the summary part, writing the cause of Yunnan Mongols' history memory and ethnic group identity. Except these, this thesis includes preface, postscript, references and appendix etc.To compared Yunnan Mongols with northern Mongols, the author researches Yunnan Mongols' history memory and ethnic group identity. The purpose is to answer the question that is which kind of history Yunnan Mongols have had experienced? Compared with northern Mongols, what were there differences on history memory and ethnic group's identity? Etc. At last, this thesis would explain the culture complex phenomena on Mongolian cultural history research.
