From Event Structure To Sentence Structure

Under the frame of Three Layers Analysis on Grammar (TLAG) and from the start-point of event and event structure, grammar can be generalized as a set of rules which control the mapping from event structure to sentence structure.The task of language output for co-ordinate bilinguals is to express the exited meaning with a new language form. The analysis progress which put forward by TLAG and the progress which adopt by co-ordinate bilinguals on their language outputting are similar. TLGA could be useful on the grammar teaching of TCFL.On the frame of TLAG, the output of language can be described as four objects realized form one layer to another. Four objects from inner to outer are "Event with structure, Phrase,Single Sentence, Utterance" and "Three layers" refers to the three interfaces between them. Three layers are called "Syntax,Pragmatics, Discourse "on this paper. The target of grammar is on searching into the rules which control the mapping from one object to another.There are still some phenomena without well explanation on the study of "Bei".Based on the frame of TLGA, the "Bei" be defined as a mark on the layer of pragmatics. Though the modeling of "Bei" which be analogous to the physical force model, this paper found that the usage of "Bei" is concerning the expression of a important grammar category-----Direction of action. Following the complexation of sentence, "Bei" marks the relationship between two sub-events on one sentence.This relationship can described as [±affected]. This analysis for "Bei" based on TLAG is a new way to answer some questions on the study of "Bei".The observation from the angle of TLGA on UG could be meaningful for linguistic.At the same time,The Chinese grammar teaching could be benefit from the character that the progress of analysis on TLGA is easy to model.
