The Study On The Ethnic Relations Of The Current North Xinjiang

As a kind of special social relation, ethnic relation is an important part of ethnic problem, it is inevitably influenced by a given social situation, Since1949, ethnic relation in north Xingjiang plays a very important role in local social development.From the perspective of history and present situation regional politics and culture,center and edge etc. The thesis discussed the development process of ethnic relation in north Xingjiang since1949. The author investigated and analyzed the situation of ethnic relation in north Xingjiang through six major indicators in three fields. thereby summarized characteristics of it and then put forward corresponding construction mode in accordance with factors influencing harmonious ethnic relationship.The thesis consists in seven chapters. The first chapter is an introduction which mainly contains research background and significance,relevant concepts,literature review etc. Three field sites are introduced in the second chapter. The third chapter is about the history memory since liberation to the beginning of reform and opening up. This part traces back the countermeasures and methods dealing with ethnic relations in that period on the basis of problems encountered in the field of politics, economy,culture and social life. With the help of field work and comparison study, in the fourth chapter, the author analyses the construction of ethnic relation in north Xingjiang in the field of farming area,pasturing area and city. Through six indicators that are living patterns,language communication,customs,religious life, intermarriage,individual behavior and attitudes. This part presents the situation of ethnic relation in north Xingjiang. In the perspective of globalization, the fifth chapter systematically discusses the factors which influence north Xingjiang ethnic relation in the period of social transformation, and puts forward information poverty may influence ethnic relations. Therefore, it's very important to eliminate knowledge and information gap as well as narrowing the gap between rich and poor in frontier minority areas. Through comparative studying, in the sixth chapter, the author sums up seven features of ethnic relations in north Xingjiang. in which all-round social development is an interactive factor with the consolidation of ethnic relations,it is the special humane and historical background of north Xingjiang that restrict the easy-repairabilities of ethnic relations. The seventh chapter is to discuss the construction of harmonious ethnic relation mode and put forward an all-round and sustainable development conception. When promoting economic development,all-embracing and diverse ethnic culture should be cultivated, thus to create a stable and harmonious political atmosphere.Carrying out deep-empirical study in frontier minority areas enables us to analyze main factors that influence ethnic relations, and then propose corresponding countermeasures to solve problems of ethnic relation.
