The thesis aims to discuss the dissemination and development of Muslim in the Central Asia, and Powers, outside and inside the region, scramble for spheres of influence in the Region. The thesis focuses on analysis and explanations of the Muslim in the Central Asia and correlation between the influence of Islam and regional stability after the collapse of the Soviet Union.The methodologies include historical studies mainly and comparative method as well. The thesis retrievals process of Islam development in the Central Asia with historical method, on the one hand, and the paper examines the speed and the ways of rejuvenation of Islam in the Central Asian countries with comparative one, on the other hand.The collapse of the Soviet Union left the vacuum in the Central Asia. Powers, inside and outside the region, are competing in influencing the Central Asian countries. The playing roles include Russia, USA, Turkey and Iran and so on.Russia cooperates with the Central Asian countries to prevent from the combination of Islam movement in Volga valley and Transcausus to form destructive factor for the regional stability and security.The United State plans to have the region become a strategic energy base and strong point for USA to contain Russia.Turkey and Iran take their geopolitical advantage to influence on the Central Asia with different ways. Turkey brings its economic relation with the countries within the region into full play while Iran does it by strengthening religious and economic links with the same region.Religious extremists and separatists, of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, influenced by external religious and national extremists and international terrorism, are becoming a threat to Northern and Western region of China, weakening the national solidarity of the region and making religious and national questions more sensitive and explosive.The thesis concludes that if Islam movement is out of control, it would become a very important factor resulting in realistic threat to the regional stability and security of the Central Asia.
