After the Cold War, Central Asia becomes a hot region in international structure. The ethnical, religious, economic and political problems and the rise of separatism, extremism and terrorism all become the main factors that affect the safety and stability of the region. After "9.11", the United States began its garrison in Central Asia. Its anti-terrorist strategy is consistent with its energy strategy. The U.S.A becomes the most important exterior factor influencing the security and stability of the Central Asia. Central Asia is close to Chinese western region, and the safety and stability of Central Asia directly affect Chinese western region. And it is important for western China to have a good external environment. This is the realistic significance of writing this thesis. And the theoretical significance of this research lays in the thought that this research will enrich the study of Central Asia which was just boosted after Cold War. In addition to preface and conclusion, this thesis includes five parts. The body part is divided into three parts. The first part analyzes the main factor that influenced the safety and stability of Central Asia. It is explained that after Cold War the political, economic and ethical problems arising in each Central Asian country and the rise of separatism, extremism and terrorism constituted the main threatening factors in the safety and stability of the region. But after "9.11", the United States'interference becomes the main factor in this region. The second part analyzed American global strategy in its Central Asia policy. The writer explained that the United States'Central Asia policy serves its global strategy.
