With the facilitating of China reformation and open to the outside, the competitive environments of China farmers and AEO are changing greatly. The style of competition among farmers is gradually replaced by the competition among AEO, and plays an important role in social economic life. The main topic of this dissertation is that: analysing the status, function of AEO, the challenge and opportunities they are facing in new century; adopting modern multi-analysis method to evaluate AEO competence; finding out the critical factors affecting the competence of AEO to serve the government the leaders of organization and farmers.The whole dissertation is consisted of nine parts.Chapter One Introduction Firstly, the paper expounded the background, purpose and significance of the study. Secondly, the paper gave a brief account of the research development domestic and abroad. Finally, the paper put forward the research train of thought research methods and innovations.Chapter Two The Basic Theories of AEO Competence This part is the basic theory of the whole study. In view of the systematic thinking on organization theory & competitive theory, comprehensive studied the newest research achievements and the reality of China agri-economy, gradually formulated the theoretic structure guiding this research work.There are three main parts in this chapter. (1) Setting up correlative idea system. In this paper, we defined agricultural economic organization (AEO): An open and complex social economic system which consisted of individuals engaging in agricultural production and service to realize certain economic purpose. AEO competence: It means AEO's sustained survival ability consisted of outside competence and internal competence. (2) In order to compare and analyze AEO competence, AEO were scientifically classified. (3) Clearing and definiting the function and status of AEO, so that the basic conclusion and countermeasures were built up on a long-range view.Chapter Three .The Development of AEO & Their Competence Analyzation This chapter consists three parts: (1) Inspecting the development of AEO and Their present competence. The development train of AEO is that: farmer family was the main agent of AEO before the cooperative economy was established. With the development of countryside economy, the forms of AEO have changed gradually, but farmer family was-v-still the main agent of AEO. The main differences were that: under different conditions, the competitive forms and cooperative forms are different. (2) Analyzing the present competence of the three main AEO types comprehensively, and concluded that farmer family , cooperative organization and agricultural company have their own competitive advantages. (3) Summarizing the new opportunities and challenges, which the AEO are facing.Chapter Four The Analyzation of Factors Affecting Competence of Organization In this chapter, the author discussed seven ordinary factors which affecting the individual angri-company, and determined how they promote or hinder the competence of the company. The seven factors are divided into two parts, one is inner part, the other is out part. The inner part is consisted of three classes six factors. The three classes are foundation , management and consciousness. The out part is consisted six sub-factors also, including market structure, the barrier, the intensity of competition, natural conditions, raw material suppliers and consumers.Chapter Five The Establishment of Targets for Evaluating the AEO Competence Based on certain scientific principles, this chapter designed a set of correlative targets system to reflect the competence of AEO. These evaluating targets are consisted of two parts, one deputing the real competence, the other deputing the potential competence. The real competence targets are indicated by profit-making ability and product-competence. Eleven classes are included in the potential competence targets.
