Research On Competence Of SGIS Shongshan Co., Ltd

Based on basic theory of corporation's core competence, the meaning and essential characteristics of core competence of iron and steel enterprises are analyzed in this paper. In addition, using the method of comprehensive evaluation, a system that assesses the core competence of iron and steel enterprises has been constructed.Competences determines the business scopes of enterprises, the types of management and various kinds of competitive business activities. Compared with other business administration aspects, enterprises with strong competences own competitive advantages in global and local competition. So all kinds of companies focus on how to cultivate, keep, upgrade competence in all aspects of management, as a result, some evaluation methods are built up to evaluate integrated competence of a organization. While most traditional state-owned enterprises are unaware of competences and core competences, enormous changes in competitive rivals, environment, market scale and structure have been taking place. As an old state-owned enterprise, SGIS Shongshan Co., Ltd. is also facing the problem.This thesis analyzes existing problems in competence of the company, to study the environment of company, and develops relevant solutions. The brief history of the company is introduced in Chapter 1 , corresponding competence theories and methods are reviewed in chapter 2.Macro-environment, industry competition situations are studied in Chapter 3. The competence evaluation are established in Chapter 4, in the last chapter, the author present a solution to the state-owned companies to cultivate, keep, upgrade competences.
