| The sustainable development program is a lasting movement that aims at pushing the mankind to get along harmoniously with nature and benefiting future generations, thus it is the common mission for the whole mankind to realize sustainable development. The sustainable development is closely related to agricultural production and development from the moment it was breed to its formal establishment. As agriculture is a relatively risky and weak industry in national economy, the study of agricultural sustainable development is of realistic importance. Located in subtropical zone, Fujian province is a relatively intact and strong representative regional development system, with unique natural characteristics as well as social and humane characteristics. Thus it is of directive significance to the study of the agricultural development in other regions by carrying out the agricultural sustainable development and its appraisal study in Fujian.Guided by ecological and systematical theories, this study adopts the methods of qualitative description with combination of the rationing appraisal of DEA(data envelopment analysis), gives an overall analysis to the development situation, the coordination, the sustainability and the restriction factors of the agricultural production in Fujian and puts forward some constructive countermeasures of promoting the agricultural sustainable development of Fujian. It provides a scientific basis to future agriculture development of Fujian and even to the macroscopical decision of social economic development.
