High-way transportation is the base of economicdevelopment. The development of developed country and region experience an period of High-way transportation prior to other industries during the early developing times .With respect to our country's condition ,on one hand, economic development impress higher demand on high-way transportation which makes high-way transportation a speedy and prior development to content the need of quick development of economics of our country , on the other hand ,the condition of resource confine the development of High-way transportations .It is the ultimate choice of High-way transportation by way of sustainable development.On the basis of further research on the high-way transportation, the essay analyzes the relation between high-way transportation system and sustainable development, researches theoretically the sustainable development of high-way transportation system.Upon the basis of internal and foreign researches, the index system were created, in view of so much internal and external variables in High-way transportation sustainable development system, that it can't be gotten, the essay created a multi-level gray -evaluation method of objective index evaluation. It is assumed that, generally speaking, the sustainable development ability of high-way transportation is low through syntheticappraisal on High-way transportation.On the basis of quantative analyzing and evaluation ,the problem in the sustainable system was pointed, the strategic suggestion was put forth.
