The problem of the Middle East women has been one of the most important issues that people concerned and disputed. It relates to the politics, the economy, the religion, the culture and the society of the Middle East, we can' t regard it as women' s own problem in isolation and in abstraction. Marxism-Leninism classics propose that the extent of women' s emancipation is the measure and the symbol of social progress. Academic circles in our country published a series of research papers on the issues of the Middle East women, but most researchers before are limited in one country or two countries, lacking the complete direction and many-sided research on the development issues of the Middle East women after the Second World War.Under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism theory, taking the modernization of humankind as a spindle, applying the sociology, the economics, the anthropology and using a way of comprehensive, systematic and dialectic analysis methods, this doctoral dissertation tries to discuss the developing situation and transforming course of the Middle East women after the Second World War. On the basis, the dissertation concludes and sums up the basic law, the main features on the development issue of the Middle East women and forecasts the chances and the challenges that women will meet throughout the era of globalization.The dissertation consists of the preface and five chapters. The first and the second chapters discuss the developing situation of the Middle East women after the Second World War, mainly taking the three North layer countries , the North Africa and the Gulf countries to study and analyse the contemporary Middle East women' s development in education, employment, Participation in political affairs and health. The third chapter summaries the features aboutfactors that promote and affect the Middle East women' s development. The fifth chapter looks forward to the prospects of the Middle East women' s development, and probes into the profound impact that the economic globalization on the Middle East women' s development, and ponders over the trend on the development of the Middle East women in the 2rlcentury.By the research on the development issue of the Middle East women after the Second World far, the writer proposes that international society, especially the developing countries shoud pay close attention to the issues of women' s development. Without the development of the women' s group, it' s impossible to realize long-terra sustainable development. Women' s development is the necessary condition to realize the human' s modernization,?without women' s modernization, the modernization of society will come to nothing. It decides that the developing countries including our country should attach importance to women' s development in the course of realizing the modernization, making women and men go foward together in the progress of modernization, only this can lay a foundation to our country' s modernization, and then proceeds to promote the development of our country' s modernization.
