Governments and societies around the world are paying increasing attention to the great effects on their social and economic development exerted by entrepreneurial work and the growth of medium and small sized enterprises. And in recent years management of entrepreneurial work, generally accepted as a growing field of research, has become the focus of research in the circle of economic management. But it is a new subject for the academic circle to discuss the problem of entrepreneurial resources based on the development theory of various enterprises. This thesis-with method of systematic analysis and by means of theories of economics, management and innovation-defines the entrepreneurial work of enterprises and the concept of entrepreneurial resources, and discusses the growth, types, approaches, motives, processes, driving power, and formation of resources of entrepreneurial work, as well as the patterns of entrepreneurial resources. The paper, compared with previous scattered and weak researches of entrepreneurial resources, then gives a systematic and theoretical analysis of the entrepreneurial human resources (entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial groups), entrepreneurial capital, information resources, managerial resources, environmental resources, and the distribution of entrepreneurial resources. It aims at finding a theoretical framework of entrepreneurial resources for medium and small sized enterprises, and thus helps to better understand the formation regularity-together with its principles of functioning-of entrepreneurial resources. This regularity is regarded as significant both in theory and in reality to enhance the rationalization of resources for enterprises.The thesis consists of three parts. The first part expounds the concept of entrepreneurial. work for medium and small sized enterprises, the concept of entrepreneurial resources, the mechanism of entrepreneurial work. It then builds a theoretical framework for entrepreneurial work. The main contents of the first part go as follows:1. The defining of the concept of entrepreneurial workEntrepreneurial work is a process of spotting and capturing opportunities, integrating entrepreneurial resources, and hence creating new products or services, andrealizing its potential values. Entrepreneurial work is bound to consume time and make efforts, take corresponding risks in terms of money, spirits and society. It also includes the obtaining of economic return and the satisfying of personal pursuit of value. The concept of entrepreneurial work has such features as being creative, risky, complicated, socially beneficial and profitable.2. The systematic analysis of entrepreneurial work for medium and small sized enterprisesThe entrepreneurial work for medium and small sized enterprises involve three primary questions: (1) the interrelation of entrepreneurial work and innovation; (2) the establishment of the advantages for entrepreneurial work and enterprise competitiveness; and (3) entrepreneurial work and the growth of enterprises. The systematic analysis shows that entrepreneurial work is actually a process of integrating entrepreneurial resources, setting up an enterprise and pursuing the development of the enterprise by using creativity and business opportunities. It also indicates that the entrepreneurial work is the realization of creativity or innovation. Entrepreneurial resources are the basis for the entrepreneurial work of medium and small sized enterprises, and the enterprise competitive advantages come from its own resources and capacities. Resources are different, and this is why medium and small sized enterprises must emphasize its external environmental resources.Medium and small sized enterprises can gain long-term competitive advantages, achieve entrepreneurial success, and make enterprise development as long as they can develop their particular core competitive force by using their resources and capacities, and on condition that their competitors are not allowed to replace or imitat...
