Research On Coordination Of Inventory Management In Supply Chain Under Uncertainty Of Demand

Supply chain management came from classical logistic problems. With the trend of global economic developing coming into being, enterprise management is not limited to logistic and financing management. The relation of enterprises is materialized to communicate information in broad sense, and achieve cooperation and win-win results. But many contradiction produced, coordination is needed. This brought up a tideway of research in academe. In this dissertation , some coordination policy about inventory control was investigated, which was described under random demand.The main content is as follows:1. The concepts of supply chain and supply chain management were demonstrated and some coordinate problem in it were instituted from point of view of systematic theory.2. The performance and causation of uncertainty in supply chain management were summarized, and then the ideas and methods of inventory management were reviewed. Some of the former research work on the cost of inventory in supply chain were summarized, in succession, the impact on inventory problem from coordination of partners in supply chain was discussed.3. Inventory model under uncertainty demand environment, two kinds of service level including unit service level and cycle service level and their relation were studied. The solution to safety factor aimed at minimizing the total cost of inventory was given, therefore, some useable heuristic relation was found by linear regression with simple variable and multi-variables, together with BP neural network methods.4. Aim at a supply chain including a supplier as the kernel part and multiple buyers, price and inventory connected problem was discussed. Feasibility of decreasing the total cost by price discounting taken charge by supplier based on constrain of fixed replenish interview was investigated under uncertainty demand of customer's request. Given solution is not the same as common quantity discounting and tested by simulations.5. Some cost and price relations in the status of vendor management inventory of buyers(VMI) were studied, on which the retailer was looked as the kernel enterprise in supply chain. The impacts of cost from VMI on vendors, buyers and the channel were analyzed in short period and long period. The effect of VMI was validated by simulations that VMI can decrease inventory cost of channel, and bring more benefits to buyers than to vendors, unless the cost is cut down or the quantity of commodity is increased to a line.
