A Research On The Russian Strategy In Northeast Asia

Taking the grand panorama of history as its background, this essay carded and analyzed Russia's strategy of Northeast Asian along the main line of Safety, Momentum and Balance by stages of the Cold War and the issue of 9.11 under some relative theories of international strategic science and political science. The aim is to argue that region military, economy and diplomatic actions come into being Russia's status of Great Power. Especially, I have paid a rather attention to Russian geostrategy of oil and natural gas. To it, you also can refer my article in one core publication. Chapter One: Russian strategy of Great Power about Northeast Asia Strategy about Northeast Asia is part of Russian strategy of Great Power. As a Great Power, it has not only hardness force but also soft power. B.Yeltsin established the path and guide line of continuing to be a great Power. But confined by many domestic and abroad factors, it is slowly that Russia transforms warfare of military into warfare of economic. That is, its status of Great Power is a political and martial meaning. Under a patrimony of Yeltsin, ensured a stable state of domestic, V.Putin adopted a flexible diplomatic tact between the East and the West in order to protect Russian advantages. In politics Russia has established a status of Great Power that is making up contents of economy. Military strength, potential economic strength and geography location are Russia primary means to implement the strategy of Great Power.Northeast Asia is a very important tache between world geo-politics and world geo-economy. It is a main line in the history of Russia from Tsarist Russia to Soviet Russia to be a Great Power, so today is. Northeast Asia is one important region in Russian Great Power strategy. Military strength, strategy of Siberia and Far East and potential economic strength are important supports to carry out Russia strategy of Great Power. Chapter Two: Warfare of resources in Far East Warfare about resources in Far East supplemented contents of economy to Russian status of Great Power. Siberia and Far East improved the status of Russia geo-strategy and endowed it a potential advantage. In Siberia and Far East, developing projects of energy sources are expanding and maintaining rigidity of economy developing to a depth. At the same time, developing projects of communication reinforced the radicalization force of developing economy. They improved each other. Russian potential strength in science and technology will also help to economy cooperation with nations of Northeast Asia. Bilateral relation is the primary form of economy and trade intercourse between Russia and Northeast Asia. The safety of energy sources is a problem of strategy because it can influence Russia economy and stability of state. But the exploitation of oil and natural gas resources is a core problem. Oil and natural gas resources in Siberia and Far East will not only improve relations between Russia and area of Asia and the Pacific, but also offer a new chance that Russia can attend economy cooperation in Northeast Asia, even the whole East Asia. Energy sources diplomacy in Far East stand out Russia's status of Great Power for more. It not only needs to absorb capitals of Northeast Asia by oil and natural gas resources, but also needs to made a situation that Far East and the Caspian can echo each other in the exploitation of oil and natural gas resources so that can provide a support for Russia's Eurasia conformity.Chapter three: Military strategy of Russia in Northeast Asia Military force is a stiff instrument to support Russian status of Great Power.
