Urban And Rural Food Consumption Needs Empirical Research

Food is an important sourcing of obtaining nutrient and actually a necessary need for surviving, The change of consumption structure counts much for the people's nutrition level and health, also influences government's policy-making greatly in producing and selling agricultural products, in utilizing of agricultural resources and also in adjusting agricultural structure. So, the food, as the main product in agricultural products, its change will have an important impact on agricultural structure. To a big country with export of agricultural products in great amount as China, the study of behaviors and style in consumptive demand of food has a realistic meaning, with importance to optimizing agricultural structure and constantly promoting international trade of agricultural products.At present, residents' food consumption witnesses a series of structural changes in our country, urbanization, commercialization, marketization and the growth in earnings are origins of such structural change, in addition, price, population, policy, area developing equilibrium and income distribution etc. are factors can exert an influence to the food consumption too. This article aims at carrying on qualitative and quantitative research to the above-mentioned main factors of influencing resident's food consumption demand, demonstrating resident's food consumption demand structure and the law of its change, to serve as guide for formulating policies of agricultural structure adjustment, optimization and food consumption demand and of agricultural product international trade, etc, to offer decision basis.The thesis has 9 chapters, 35 sections in all that includes introduction. Among them, chapter 2 is the analytical part of theory for the thesis, mainly offering theoretical foundation that urban and rural residents food consumption demand study and measure economic model base on; The 3rd, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 chapter, adding up to 6 chapters, are positive parts of study of resident food consumption demand; Chapter 9, the conclusion of analysis and the coupling of the policy meaning.In the part of the introduction, explain the background of selecting the title, research purpose, meaning and the main thinking of the research. Chapter 2,on the basis of summingup the consumption demand theory systematically, especially demand function theory, introduce some kinds of common theory models of resident food consumption demand comprehensively ,compare and comment that, the ELES model and AIDS model studied with emphasis especially, this has established solid theoretical foundation that the positive research need. Chapter 3,take Hubei as object of the research, through a describing study of characteristic of changing structure of urban and rural residents food consumption demand, offer a basic, primary judgment to current situation of urban and rural residents food consumption demand. Chapter 4,extent research object to the whole country, from macroscopic perspective and aspect, carry on the positive research of the impact such as economic cycle, income fluctuate bring on food consumption demands of urban and rural residents. Chapter 5 use ELES model and AIDS model mainly, through sectional data and time sequence data separately from family unite investigation, carry on various kinds of elastic characteristic research of food consumption demand of urban and rural residents of Hubei and trend analysis of changing structure of food consumption demand. The 6th, 7, 8 chapter, through AIDS model, generally, and privately study basic reason to structural change of urban and rural residents food consumption demand, the reason namely urbanization , marketization and growth in earnings.
