Iran is an Islamic country whose politics combines with religion. The important geographical position of Iran gives itself the great importance of strategic geography. Iran is the second largest crude oil explorer of the world, and the ascertained oil storage is 93,000,000,000 barrels, which takes up 10% of the world's storage, and occupies the fifth position in the world. The ascertained storage of gas is up to 24,000 billion cubic meters, which takes up 16% of the world's total storage, less than Russia, and occupies the second place in the world. As Iranian economic lifeline, oil occupies a critical position in the national economy. The capacity of Iranian daily oil production reaches 4,100,000 barrels, and its oil trade income occupies 90% of the total foreign exchange earnings. Iran is the second largest crude oil exporter among the members of OPEC, and its oil policy would greatly influence the oil policy of OPEC, and surely take great impact on world's crude oil market. The Iranian energy structure is the important reason why many countries strengthen and develop the relationship with Iran.From the 1950s, Iran starts its nuclear plan with the support of the western countries. But after the Khomeini Religious Revolution, its nuclear plan and nuclear programs was forced to cease function because of the deterioration of the relations between the United States and Iran. After the Cold War, Russia starts to aid Iran to develop and use nuclear technology peacefully under the driven of multiple interests. Just because of this, the United States always takes an attitude of censuring towards Russia, and takes sanctions on it. Iran also takes part in the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaties—IAEA, and signs the NPT and its additional protocols. In 2002, because of the political struggle inside Iran, the opposition party released the secret that Iran is undertaking the nuclear development. The news shocked the world. The Iranian nuclear issue was again aroused great disturbance and shocked the world. In the recent three years, the international society devotes themselves to solve this problem under the coordination of IAEA, though there are many divergences of the ways of settlement. This thesis mainly discusses participation of the international society on the settlement of the issue, and the influences of the nuclear issue toward the relations between Iran and other countries.We take Khomeini Revolution as a line of demarcation. Before this event, part of Iranian nuclear establishment and nuclear programs was supported and aided by the United States and other western countries because at that time, there existed good relationship between the United States; while after this event, the relationship between the two countries was deteriorated, and until nowadays, they still did not resume their...
