Mao Zedong was the great leader of the Communist Party of China and Chinese people. He had got the immortal feats to the Party, the State and the People in his life. However, in his later years he made the grave mistakes such as the "Cultural Revolution", and took a heavy disaster for the Party, the State and the People. This paper is mainly on Mao Zedong's personality cult phenomenon for research. That is, after Mao Zedong became the actural leader of the Party and the armed forces in 1935 , the phenomenon of his personal dictatorship style and personality cult had got breeding development with the Chinese Communist's propaganda of Mao Zedong, who was gradually recognized by the party leaders. Coupled with Lin Biao and others' flattery, Mao Zedong was deified and came to the altar, bringing serious losses for the Party and the People. This paper is to make this process a carding and inspection. The full text is divided into seven chapters. In Chapter I, the author mainly sorts out and analyzes the process in which Mao Zedong gradually became the leader of the Party and the military from Yanan period to the eve of the founding of the PRC. Through the material and the facts sorted out, we can know, that the Zunyi Meeting was the logical starting point of Mao Zedong who had become the leader of the party and the military. After the six Sixth Plenum of the Central Committee, the meeting of the Political Bureau in March of 1943, the Yan'an Rectification, the propaganda of the 7th meeting of the CPC, and with the support of the Communist International, Mao Zedong eventually became the recognized leader of the party and the military, as well as Mao Zedong's Thoughts as China's guiding ideology. In Chapter II, the author mainly makes investigations on Mao Zedong who could still maintain a modest attitude to conduct from the founding of new China to the spring of 1953. From the founding of New China to the spring of 1953, though Mao Zedong at the core leadership of the CPC Central Committee, China had made a series of great victories such as winning the War, reviving the national economy etc., Mao Zedong still maintained a modest attitude against himself and his personality cult in a glorification of sound. In Chapter III, the author mainly analyzes Mao Zedong's emotion of pride right from the death of Stalin to the spring of 1957. Through analysis, this chapter is mainly to explain, as the huge victory and the love of the entire Party and people , Mao Zedong began feeling pride and could not listen to the different views. But as to expose and criticize the Stalinist cult of personality errors on the 20th Representative Assembly of Soviet Union, and to emphasize the collective leadership and against the cult of personality on the 8th Representative Assembly of the CPC, the worship of Mao Zedong's personal momentum had be restrained. In Chapter IV, the author mainly studies Mao Zedong who began to appreciate the cult of personality right from the Rectification Campaign to the Lushan meeting. From the anti-rightist campaign in 1957 on, Mao Zedong began to make subjective arbitrary style start to take shape, and to suppress different views within the party, and he appreciated and promoted his personal worship in the meeting of 1958 in Chengdu. Some party leaders echoed the worship of Mao Zedong's personal views, so personal style of worship began in the party prevailedly. In Chaper V, the author mainly analyzes the process right from the meeting of Lushan Mountain to the meeting of seven thousand people. After the Lushan meeting, Lin Biao and others who wanted to win the favor of Mao Zedong and gain political capital deliberated on Mao Zedong and the cult of personality, to promote the atmosphere of worship Mao rapidly warming. In Chapter VI, the author mainly studies Mao Zedong who substituted the personal dictatorship for the central collective leadership on the eve of the "Cultural Revolution" . Through research of this chapter, to the "Cultural Revolution" eve of Mao Zedong's personal dictatorship style vicious, the central collective leadership had been completely replaced by Mao Zedong's personality cult , so this indicated that the "Cultural Revolution" occurred inevitable. In Chapter VII, the author mainly analyzes the things that Mao Zedong's personality cult reached the status during the "Cultural Revolution" period. Through analysis in this chapter, during the "Cultural Revolution" preliminary, Lin Biao and others incited modern superstition and put God-Making Movement to push Mao Zedong onto the altar. "September 13 incident" objectively proclaimed the "Cultural Revolution" failed and Mao Zedong's cult of personality began to cool down.Through the above analysis and research, we found the following four pieces of inspiration. First, we must prevent personal worship in China again, make the leaders of publicity be scientific and appropriate, and not be unduly prominent leaders in the status and role. Second, we must reform and innovate the Party and the country's political system, particularly the leadership system, and eliminate the possibility of personal worship from the system. Third, we must promote the party and the country's democratic and legal process, improve the people's awareness of democracy and legal awareness, and fundamentally eliminate the hotbed of personal worship and soil. Fourth, we must strengthen the building of party organizations, and improve the party's principle of democratic centralism and collective leadership system, to prohibit any form of personal worship.
