Harmony is a society's theme along with development. If the society would become harmonious, the most basic point lies in the degree of identity to which the civil have of system, culture of their survival. Human being is "economic man", "political man" and "social man", who are endowed with various needs and abundant emotions. Only when the political community to which people belongs continually meets citizen' material and spiritual needs, the citizens will have a sense of belonging to political community. In traditional society, political identity was not apparent. Strictly speaking, it was not political identity, but a kind of obedience or submission by force. From traditional agricultural society to modern industrial one, and in the process of transformation, the structure of society has changed drastically: people have broadened their visions, social class has been further divided, social interests appears to be multi-dimensional, social conflicts are continuously increasing, meanwhile, the degree of citizen's political identity has greatly changed.Political identity is the oldest and the most basic question in politics. It means how to make political domination believed by people. Whether a kind of political domination can be maintained or a type of system can be preserved depends, to a great extent, on the citizen's identity about the domination or system .In the process of social transition period, that is, from traditional to modem one, citizen's political identity becomes conspicuous. Social transition refers to the transformation from traditional agricultural society to modern industrial one which is also the vicissitudes between a country and social modernization. Contemporary Chinese social transition mainly refers to the changes of social structure after reform and opening-up, especially the transformation from planned economy to market economy. Since then Chinese citizen's political identity changed a lot. The content importance and logic of political identity have also changed.
