Political identity is an important concept in modern democratic politics, and it is also an important realistic subject in modern political development. This so-called political identity is a kind of emotional and conscious sense of belonging that social members who in a certain political system have, and a kind of practice based on specific interests which social members actively support and participate in the political system. As a political and practical connection between social members and political system, political identity plays an important role to social members and political system.Under the double pressure of the economic globalization and the complex contradiction caused by political and economic transition, civil political identity has been increasingly emerging in contemporary China. That whether contemporary China is able to push forward political reform and whether contemporary China will realize political stability depends on that whether Chinese citizen's political identification could be really solved in a certain sense. Therefore, it is a major issue for contemporary China in reform and development and an important political mission and ruling subject for the CCP and the government in the new period to promote the construction of citizen's political identity and realize the political stability and social harmony. Since the Reform and Open to the outside world, the economy and society have changed rapidly. And citizen has proposing their identity of governance performance, institutional rules and ideology positively, meanwhile, they are faced with a series of problems which include identity dissolution, false conformity, critical identity and even disagreement. There are a variety of factors which caused the problem of the citizen's identity. In my opinion, the macro influencing factors include social transformation and globalization, and the micro influencing factors include differentiation of interest structure, the differentiation and transition of political culture, the defects of system criterion, the political quality of the individual citizens and so on. Facing these problems, we have to take effective strategy and measures to promote the citizen's political identity continuously, from our national conditions. It is a systematic project to construct the citizen's political identity in contemporary China. In order to realize the goal, we should understanding and respect the scientific principles of political identity and actively take effective measures to push forward it, in doing so, we ought to adhere to and appeal to social justice which is the basic value idea and follow the basic content and the influencing factors of political identity. More specifically, we should take measures from four aspects:speeding up economic developments to lay a foundation of economic performance, strengthening the construction of political system to tamp the foundation of system criterion, enhancing the construction of socialist ideology to consolidate the foundation of thought and culture and reinforcing the governance mechanism of political socialization to improve the citizen's political quality. When these four aspects have been thoroughly intertwined as a mutually supportive unified structure, they will help us smoothly push forward the political identity construction of Chinese citizen's, consolidate the belief in Marxism and Socialism, reinforce the confidence to the CCP and the government. And they will enhance community cohesion and centripetal force to lay a solid political foundation for building a harmonious socialist society.
