| Each mature and stable political formation must be based on a corresponding political knowledge formation which is mature and stable in essence. The traditional political knowledge formation of China was the knowledge foundations and premise of the traditional political formation (Empire-political-formation) which had a deep influence on China's modernization. This thesis takes the traditional political knowledge formation as the object of study,which is aimed at exploring the growing process and inner logic of the traditional political knowledge formation.By the methodologies of archeology of knowledge and politics of knowledge, and with the help of horizontal connection and lengthways integration among life formation, knowledge formation and political formation,the thesis analyzes the peculiar course of the traditional political knowledge formation of China from ancient period to Warring States period,and reveals the inner logic of its development of history,including its embryonic form, expansion,transition and maturity.The thesis includes five parts:(1) introduction.In this part,section 1 puts forward the research problem,which is how the traditional political knowledge formation took shape? Section 2 puts great emphasis on the related research of traditional theories and modern social science, among which the latter includes four aspects : new historiography, archeology, history of thought research and Sinology. Section 3 introduces the research methods,defines the key concepts,and puts forward the framework of this paper.(2) Chapter 1 mainly discusses that how the traditional political knowledge formation was conceived. Firstly ,1 try to elaborate the inherent features of the band-life-formation. Secondly, I will clarify the interrelation between the band-life-formation and "bianwujufang" by the analysis of the origins of "three Changes" and the primitive "Yin Yang and wu hsing" ideas,and then point out that our ancestors' spiritual activities of "bianwujufang" conceived the early political knowledge elements. Finally I will analyze the logic relationship between the early political knowledge elements and the origins of early political activities.(3) Chapter 2 refers mainly to the expansion of the traditional political knowledge formation of China.I firstly expound the tribe-life-formation upon which the ideas about gods are based. Next I analyze the political knowledge formation about systematical gods, which indicates the first expansion of the traditional political knowledge formation. Lastly I illuminate the interrelation between the political knowledge formation about systematical gods and the emergence of public power and early state.(4) Chapter 3 focuses on the particular transition of the traditional political knowledge formation of China. The clan-life- formation,which was evolved from the tribe-life-formation,supported the rise of poetic thinking,which led to the pullulation of the poetic political knowledge formation. I attempt to analyze the elements and structure of the poetic political knowledge formation,and point out that the poetic political knowledge system resulted in the transformation of the political knowledge formation about systematical gods. Lastly I expatiate on the etiquette-politics which is regarded as the political superstructure of the poetic political knowledge formation.(5)Chapter 4 tries to discuss the maturity of the traditional political knowledge formation of China. Section 1 reveals the profound changes from the clan-life-formation to the family-life-formation during the Spring and Autumn period and Warring States period, which was connected with the seclusion of poetic thinking and the rise of rationalism. Section 2 explains the progress of the conception about Heaven and Tao,which was the prerequisite to the idea of righteousness in the knowledge world.As a result, the idea of righteousness in the nature of transition led to more rational evolvement of the traditional political knowledge formation. Section 3 enumerates the extensive advancement of political knowledge during Warring States period,and point out that "mingfenshiqun" indicates the accomplishment of the rationalistic political knowledge which symbolizes the maturity and integration of the traditional political knowledge formation of China. |
